The NASUWT has agreed a trade union recognition agreement with The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT) and the other recognised trade unions.

This provides for the NASUWT to meet with TKAT at a national level at least once a term. A copy of the trade union recognition agreement is available on the right/below. 

Teachers' Pay in TKAT Academies

The NASUWT seeks to ensure that members in academy schools have, at least, the equivalent pay award to teachers in other maintained schools.

Teachers working in a TKAT academy should continue to receive the same pay increase and benefits as teachers in the maintained sector. In the recognition agreement between TKAT and the trades unions it has been established that TKAT will employ all teaching staff on national terms and conditions for school teachers (the STPCD and Burgundy Book).
