This is a practical course for members in England to become Mental Health First Aiders in the workplace and offers guidance to enable members to:

  • spot early signs;

  • help someone who is experiencing a problem;

  • provide help on a first aid basis;

  • help stop a mental illness from getting worse;

  • help someone to recover faster;

  • guide someone to the right support; and

  • reduce the stigma of mental health problems.
