It is a major NASUWT campaigning focus that all teachers, including those who are starting out in the profession, should be able to look forward to a good level of pension, so that they can enjoy a fulfilling and active retirement. Yet, there are significant pensions inequalities, a large gender pensions gap across society and in the teaching profession, and Black and disabled people tend to have lower levels of accrued pension than the average across society.
